The stuttering happens when the game loads a ton of the a-life (ie all the npcs and such) on the next area of the map. I'm using the Call of Misery Mod, which is a combination of Call of Chernobyl (which merges all the maps from all 3 games into one explorable area) and Misery (which adds a ton of new items and mechanics, as well as changes the lighting). Here's a video of basically the typical STALKER experience. Personally I'd get all 3 for 10 dollars, just to save yourself the hassle later. Everyone who still plays this game generally plays with mods. It was a criminal profession in the story: So we call in Harmont the thieves.

The vanilla game is very good, but STALKER nowadays is a platform for modding. Maps and routs of chernobyl stalker inside Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. Take Fallout, remove all of the leveling and stat based mechanics, add a much more horrifying atmosphere, and a dash of ukrainian culture. SoC has mostly linear maps with some side areas. Call of Pripyat is a very large sandboxy map game.Ĭlear Sky has a mix of sandboxy and linear maps.
